§ 23-32. Registrar as registrar of births, deaths and fetal deaths under state law.

The registrar of vital statistics is hereby designated, authorized and directed to act as registrar of births, deaths and fetal deaths, including the amendment and certification of such records, and to perform such other duties as prescribed by rules 34a to 55a, article 4477 of the Revised Civil Statutes, and the regulations promulgated by the state department of health, and the registrar or his deputy, as provided, in this article shall perform the duties as required, and shall secure a complete record of each birth, death and fetal death that occurs within the city.
